EXPERIENCE PANAMA

Journey with YogaOne to the beautiful country of Panama for an epic yoga and surf retreat. We’ll spend 6 nights and 7 days at the beautiful Sansara Resort located on the Pacific Ocean in stunning Cambutal, Panama. Your days will be filled with yoga, friendship, adventure, and relaxation. You will have a wide array of activities including surfing, sup, kayaking, snorkeling, fishing, hiking, bike riding, and exploring all that Panama has to offer.

Sansara is located at the southernmost point of Panama in the Azuero Peninsula, Cambutal is a small village in the province of Los Santos, about 5 hours away from the country’s capital, Panama City. Where mountains meet the sea, this area has been described as a mix between the wild-west and Hawaii- with a lot fewer people! With empty waves and uninhabited black-sand beaches- Cambutal is the perfect destination for you to disconnect from your fast-paced city life and reconnect to your true intentions.

YOGA

All-level yoga classes will be offered in the beautifully designed thatched roof rancho facing the Pacific Ocean. Feel the ocean breeze cool you off throughout your practice. The space comes fully stocked with mats, straps, bolsters, blankets, and handcrafted wooden blocks. “Sansara” is a Sanskrit word that stands for “continuous flow”, and it is through this we realize the beautiful and cohesive dynamic in yoga and surfing contain. We vibe with the tides; yoga times may vary based on the surf times and interest of the group. We ask for your flexibility in this, so each guest (and you) can experience Sansara in its entirety


SURF

Have you always wanted to learn to surf? Surf Sansara is the place to learn! They are committed to creating an experience that is not only fun but educational and empowering in the water and on land. Each participant will receive one complimentary introduction to surfing, this lesson is on-land in the yoga room.

SPA

At Sansara, they believe in the importance of taking care of the mind and body for a complete wellness experience. Reach the point of ultimate relaxation as their passionate and professionally accredited therapists work with you at the luxurious ocean view spa, which has been intentionally designed to create the perfect, calming ambience. RESTAURANT & BUDDHA BAR

Sansara recognizes the importance of charging your bodies - and the onsite restaurant (& bar) does just this! Supporting local farmers and fishermen, be prepared for an authentic farm-to-table experience. From Avocado-Toast for breakfast to Fresh Fish Tacos for lunch, the chefs will ensure you are fueled after all your activities. Dinner is a combination of family-style meals to encourage sharing and passing plates, to a three-course chef’s menu, utilizing flavors from all over the world with ingredients local to Panama. The Buddha Bar is fully stocked, with local micro-brews on tap & fresh and artistic cocktails- your taste buds will be dancing (and maybe you too).

A non-refundable deposit of $500 to save your spot, and full payment is due November 1, 2025.

ACCOMMODATION & RATES

Enjoy the pure bliss of one of our thirteen private ocean-accessible cabanas. Designed to inspire serenity and bliss, the zen-like atmosphere encompasses nature and tranquility throughout the grounds. Each room has a private patio and is steps away from the warm Pacific Ocean. Just like each of you, each room is unique and designed to accommodate one to four adults. Perfect for solo travelers, couples, or friends. The bath products are lush and will keep your skin soft after all the salty exposure, the linens will have you sleeping like a baby after an adventure-filled day, air-conditioning will keep you cool, and a mini-fridge for your refreshments. Please have a roommate confirmed before making your deposit. In case of no roommate, please contact meg@yogaonestudio, and we will do our best to help you find a roommate; however not guaranteed.

TRAVEL

Plan to book your flights into Panama City Airport (PTY) at least one day before our retreat, Saturday, January 31st. Many participants enjoy coming in on Thursday or Friday to explore Casco Viejo, tour the Panama Canal, and enjoy the shopping and dining in the historic district of Panama City.

Reserve a room from a list of recommended hotels to stay at. The retreat will begin with transportation pick up from your hotel on Sunday, February 1st at 8 am. The group will travel to Sansara (a 5-hour ride).

Sansara's check-out is Saturday, February 7th. The return trip from Sansara to Casco Viejo departs at 8:30 am, your final morning, arriving and dropping off everyone at the recommended hotels. If planning to fly out on February 7th, Plan your departing flights no earlier than 6 pm. Otherwise, book a room at one of the recommended hotels.

Please note that a valid passport is required; it must be valid for 6 months after the date of travel. It is highly recommended to obtain travel insurance.
