EXPERIENCE THE OSA PENINSULA
Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula, a former island that now makes up the southernmost reach of the country’s Pacific coast, was called “the most biologically intense place on Earth” by National Geographic. 2.5% of the planet’s biodiversity fits into just 0.001% of its surface area. The pristine rainforests and rugged natural beauty of the peninsula make this region among the most beautiful areas in Costa Rica. It is a secluded nature wonderland, playing home to many of the country’s rare and endangered animal and bird species, including squirrel monkeys, jaguars, and other forest cats.

BLUE OSA
Blue Osa is a beautifully landscaped beachfront property with a great sandy swimming beach out front. The retreat place features 13 beautifully designed and eco-friendly rooms with private bathrooms located in several buildings on the property. We have triple, double and single rooms from which to choose. It is located approx. 20 min from Puerto Jimenez. Our old surf spot “Germany” is just 5 min. away by car. If you want to surf a lot at multiple breaks, we recommend you rent a car in San Jose or Puerto Jimenez. This allows you to be independent and lets you explore all the different surf breaks and more of the Osa Peninsula.
YOGA
All-level yoga classes will be offered in an exquisite airy open space overlooking the garden and the Golfo Dulce. It sits in the center of BLUE OSA and accommodates up to 40 people. Yoga mats, straps, blocks, and blankets are available. We vibe with the tides; yoga times may vary based on the surf times and interest of the group. We ask for your flexibility in this, so each guest (and you) can experience Blue Osa in its entirety
ACTIVITIES
A favorite activity on the Osa Peninsula is surfing. The breaks are great for all levels. We work with a fantastic team of local surf instructors and you can book lessons and rent boards as well. BLUE OSA also has a variety of other activities that can be booked upon arrival like jungle hikes, chocolate tours, mangrove kayak tours, zipline canopy tours, dolphin tours on the Golfo Dulce.
SPA
BLUE OSA has a beautiful spa on the premises and offers beauty treatments and massages during the week of your retreat. Each participant receives a $50 gift certificate for a spa treatment.
FOOD
We offer three delicious farm-totable meals per day using homegrown, organic ingredients, plus snacks and more to keep you energized and satisfied the whole week long. BLUE OSA has a smoothie and juice bar. You can buy an unlimited juice/ smoothie pass for the week for $59. Any services from the bar such as wines, cocktails, soda(s) are NOT included in the retreat
CANCELLATION POLICY
All payments are final, there are no refunds.
A non-refundable deposit of $500 to save your spot, and full payment is due December 28, 2024. Once you make your deposit, we will follow up with an email to arrange a payment plan and more travel information.
ACCOMMODATION & RATES
Blue Osa features 13 beautifully designed and eco-friendly rooms with private bathrooms, located in several buildings on the property. We have triple, double and single rooms from which to choose. There are Limited Rooms with AC. Room rates range from $1750 - $2350, please see the rooms below. Please have a roommate in mind when booking, if you have no roommate please reach out and we will see if we can help you find a roommate.
TRAVEL
Determine your travel dates, whether you want to arrive early or plan to stay later. Plan to book your flights into San Jose (SJO) and contact Blue Osa to help you book your short 45-minute domestic flight from SJO to the Puerto Jimenez Airport, $150 each way. Once you arrive in Puerto Jimenez, Blue Osa will pick you up and drive to the resort.

Another option is to rent a car and drive 6 hours along the Pacific coast to the retreat center on the Osa Peninsula, break it up, and stay overnight in other towns. The roads are good and scenic. It is recommended to rent a 4x4 car (Daihatsu Terios, Suzuki Jimny), if you want to explore the area and surf at multiple spots. Blue Osa Travels can recommend a Car Rental.
