This hatha yoga class is for students new to yoga or needing to move more slowly. This class will focus on the correct positioning of basic yoga postures within one’s own body.
A flowing class that integrates breath and movement, inner and outer alignment, strength and flexibility accompanied by music for a soothing experience.
Founded by John Friend, Anusara is heart oriented, inspiring and grounded in the Universal Principles of alignment for both the inner and outer body. It is a unique style of yoga that blends the artistic expression of the human heart with the scientific principles of biomechanics. Students are celebrated for their differences, limitations, and talents. This life-affirming vision sets the basis for a yoga system that celebrates the beauty in life’s diversity, truthfulness and Divinity in all beings.
Hot Flow Yoga
The Hot Yoga is a vinyasa flow yoga but practiced in a room heated to approximately 98.6 degrees, which is our body temperature. Practicing yoga in a hot environment opens the muscular/skeletal system, stimulates the glandular system, and helps eliminate toxins to rebuild the body from old injuries.
It is recommended to have your own yoga mat and towel since you will gain a deep sweat. Please drink plenty of water before and after class to stay hydrated. This class is not recommended for pregnant students.
A rigorous form of yoga characterized by a flowing series of poses practiced in continual and rapid succession. This high-energy exercise is accessible to anyone with a familiarity of yoga and moderate level of fitness. Emphasizing stamina, strength and flexibility, for a total body workout.
This class is perfect for any age, shape, or size to experience the many benefits of yoga. No experience or flexibility required.
This class will take the student deeper into all postures at a moderate pace. This class is open to all levels, but due to the slower tempo it is appropriate for beginners as well.
This class the student will explore the beginning stages of advanced poses while keeping focus on developing stamina and flexibility. Students are introduced to jumping forward and back in transitions, binding, arm balances and exploring more challenging postures.
This class is a sweat and strength-based practice that will cleanse, energize and balance the body. Students will cultivate concentration, confidence, and endurance. With the utilization of kramas (stages) advanced asanas will be explored to lead us to find our true inner potential by playing the edge while embracing the challenge.
These classes are designed to accommodate a variety of experience levels in on class. In these moderately paced classes, modifications will be given for more beginning variations of postures as well as invitations, to those more experienced, for more intermediate or advanced forms. Not suitable for new beginners.
