YOGA CLASS STYLES & DESCRIPTIONS
YogaOne Studio offers many yoga styles and levels. Through mind-body practice, you’ll learn why yoga is not only physical, but a personal path of discovery and growth.
Yoga Basics
This hatha yoga class is for students new to yoga or needing to move more slowly. This class will focus on the correct positioning of basic yoga postures within one’s own body.
Vinyasa Flow
A flowing class that integrates breath and movement, inner and outer alignment, strength and flexibility accompanied by music for a soothing experience.
Anusara-Inspired Yoga
Founded by John Friend, Anusara is heart oriented, inspiring and grounded in the Universal Principles of alignment for both the inner and outer body. It is a unique style of yoga that blends the artistic expression of the human heart with the scientific principles of biomechanics. Students are celebrated for their differences, limitations, and talents. This life-affirming vision sets the basis for a yoga system that celebrates the beauty in life’s diversity, truthfulness and Divinity in all beings.
Hot Flow Yoga
The Hot Yoga is a vinyasa flow yoga but practiced in a room heated to approximately 98.6 degrees, which is our body temperature. Practicing yoga in a hot environment opens the muscular/skeletal system, stimulates the glandular system, and helps eliminate toxins to rebuild the body from old injuries.
It is recommended to have your own yoga mat and towel since you will gain a deep sweat. Please drink plenty of water before and after class to stay hydrated. This class is not recommended for pregnant students.
Power Yoga
A rigorous form of yoga characterized by a flowing series of poses practiced in continual and rapid succession. This high-energy exercise is accessible to anyone with a familiarity of yoga and moderate level of fitness. Emphasizing stamina, strength and flexibility, for a total body workout.
